Chris Brown pleaded guilty Monday to assaulting Rihanna and the two were ordered to stay away from each other, in a deal that keeps the singer out of prison but requires him to clean up graffiti or roadside trash. Brown’s plea to a felony charge will subject him to substantial scrutiny by probation officials, and the judge’s order puts the kibosh on any short-term prospects for reconciliation with his pop diva girlfriend as well.

On Friday, June 26th, Smokey Robinson and Alicia Keys will be honored at ASCAP’s (The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) 22nd Annual Rhythm & Soul Music Awards in Los Angeles. Robinson will receive the Heritage Award, while Keys will be honored with the Golden Note Award. Past honorees include New Edition, Mary J. Blige, Bill Withers, LL Cool J.

Chris Brown and Rihanna will face off in an L.A. courtroom this coming Monday after a judge rejected yet another motion filed by Brown’s attorneys to postpone the hearing.  During Monday’s hearing, a magistrate overseeing the case will decide if Brown’s fate will be handled by a jury or not.

Rapper Snoop Dogg and NFL player Willie McGinest are giving a helping hand to fundraising efforts for the Kroc Center community education and recreation facility, located in Long Beach, CA. Joined by Sixth District Councilman Dee Andrews, Snoop and McGinest announced their support Wednesday (June 17) for the project. “These people are Long Beach born and raised, and they want to come back and show they’re Long Beach friendly,” said Andrews of the celebrities’ involvement. “By them putting their stamp on it, I can see a whole lot of people picking it up,” continued Andrews. “Those people who have slumbered and gone to sleep will open their eyes.”

Eminem has confirmed D12 are planning to make a new album, five years after going on hiatus. Eminem is reforming D12. The leader of the rap group says they are planning to head back into the studio after a five-year hiatus - which followed the murder of group member Proof - insisting his friend would have wanted the collective to carry on. He told BET radio’s Rap City programme: “Right now, my music would probably be the same if Proof was still alive. Megan Fox at the Berlin Premiere of “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” -

Four of Hip Hop’s most popular artists will share the stage this summer for a tour that is primed to sell out nationwide.  Headlined by New Orleans emcee Lil Wayne joined by Young Jeezy, Drake and Soulja Boy, the four rappers will embark on the Young Money Presents: America’s Most Wanted Music Festival. With 21 confirmed dates thus far, the tour will begin in Scranton, Pennsylvania on July 27th and move throughout the country until their last show in Dallas, Texas on August 23rd.  This will be Weezy’s second headlining tour in 2009 as earlier this year he hit the road with R&B crooner T-Pain for the I Am Music Tour. Tickets for the America’s Most Wanted Music Festival will be available on June 20th through Ticketmaster and Live Nation.
