According to iTunes, Em will be releasing two more singles before the album hits shelves on May 19. “Old Time’s Sake” featuring Dr. Dre (May 5) and “Beautiful” (May 12)

Swizz Beatz has been recruited by Hennessy V.S. to assist in the launch of a limited line of cognac called Hennessy Black. According to Billboard.com, Swizzy will by performing his song, “When I Step Into the Club” alongside the JabbaWockeez of “America’s Best Dance Crew” fame for a launch event in  New York on May 5. In addition to the performance, a Hype Williams-directed video for the song will be premiered. “Beatz is a long-time fan of the brand and approached us looking for ways we could work together. Since this product is all about having fun in the club, he suggested collaborating on a track that would be a hot dance song in the clubs,” said Andy Glaser, senior VP of Hennessy Business. In addition, Hennessy will oversee a dance contest titled “Up/Down” on their YouTube channel, where fans can put their dance skills on display for a chance to be flown to Los Angeles, where Hype Williams will film them and cut them into a new version of the video for “When I Step Into the Club.” “Today is an ideal time to launch a new product — consumers are increasingly seeking new and different ideas that can excite them,” said Glaser of the drink, which has a blend of Jasmine, daffodils and orange flowers mixed with citris, honey and grapes.

After initial reports that LL Cool J’s clothing line was in danger, WooHa reports that Sears has opted to cease production of the Queens icon’s signature line, which was announced in July of 2008.  Sears purchasing sources told the industry insider publication that the cuts were a reaction to the recession, but also lack of interest in the marketplace. Cool J has spoken little of the line since his Exit 13 campaign. Consumers will be able to purchase LL’s apparel at 50-75% discount at retailers and through Sears online.

At www.PopsompHills.com, visitors are greeted by a quote from Ralph Nader on addiction treatment and links to a consultation number and email address. Once digging deeper, unsuspecting readers will quickly discover the site’s true intent. The “Learn More” portion of the page leads to a Wikipedia link for Hell, and the “Terms and Conditions” portion bluntly lays clear their intentions.

Veteran R&B/Hip-Hop producer Teddy Riley revealed that two of his most enduring groups - Guy and Blackstreet - are reuniting and preparing new material for release.  Riley made the announcement today (April 25) with certain original group members present, during Tony Neal’s 5th Annual Core DJ Retreat in Atlanta, Georgia.  Group members Teddy Riley, Aaron Hall, Damion Hall (Guy) and Chauncey Hannibal and Eric Williams (Blackstreet) spoke on a panel during the event. The two groups were speaking to attendees about artist and DJ relations, how to succeed in the music business and the importance of parents teaching their children “real” music.
